Scandi Style

When I first started decorating my home 3 years ago I did not anticipate my style would change and develop as quickly as it has.

Travel, art and experience of living in my space has helped me build  what I hope to be an eclectic, yet timeless style for my home. I often ponder what that style is and I suppose it’s a bit of a ‘Frankenstein‘ style. Bits and pieces of a number of different looks to create my own individual sense of what style is to me.

I always think of the quote from Oscar de la Renta, ‘Fashion is a trend, style lives within a person’.

One of styles from which I draw the most influence is ‘Scandi‘. The clean, simple and stylish look always catches my eye in magazines. Whilst I know this look wouldn’t work exclusively in my home, I still admire and draw inspiration from it.

H&M Home: French Grey Lifestyle Edit.

Happy Thursday Frenchies!

I appreciate the simple but stylish piece in a home, that can be used in a variety of rooms without looking out-of-place.

Below are some of my top picks from H&M home, and all are at a reasonable price if you are looking for a little update without breaking the bank!

Glass Dome.
This beautiful gold dome with crackle glass, would look equally as good with a candle in it, or even in the bathroom displaying your favourite beauty products! Click in image to purchase.

Striped Cotton Rug
I could just imagine this in a hallway, it would look so elegant inviting guests into your home! Equally it would look beautiful as a feature in a living room. Click on Image to purchase.

Marble Design Ceramic Chopping Board
Ok, this is AMAZING. It is currently in my shopping basket waiting patiently. I can see the gold dome from before on top on this, as a centre piece in my kitchen. Marble looks so rich and this would make a heavenly addition to any kitchen. There is also loads of matching items available in this range! Click on the picture to purchase.

Pineapple Candle
Pineapples have been spotted in load of home stores this summer but it is a design that has been around for a long time in decor and will be in the future too! This pineapple hides a candle inside, and once it is finished it would make a dinky little place to keep your trinkets! It is also available in gold, which is also very striking! Click on Image to Buy!

Planters Copper
Finally these planters would be perfect for your herbs on the kitchen window, but look equally as good in the bathroom used as storage. I am always drawn to items that look like studs or a bit grunge, this piece is more, ‘grown up punk’ 😎

I hope you enjoyed my edit of a few of my H&M favourites at the moment, have you spotted anything on their site that you can’t live without? I would love to hear from you!

Much love,

Judy xo
